Table top gaming

Dungeons and Dragons

Ever since this OGL nonsense that WotC(wizards of the coast) tried pushing, i feel like that cornerstone of analogue gaming has taken a swan dive into a concrete sidewalk from the top of a skyscraper. Then the following scandals, what wotc really thinks of you, the pinkertons, the mass Christmas layoffs, and so on... pretty sure there's alot more that I didn't list off. 6e will require 280 usd for the starter books. I think I've fully moved on.

ICRPG

Yup, index card rpg by runehammer. I sort of fell into it after glossing over indy games. Professor DM over at Dungeon Craft on YouTube.com did a review about it and my love has only grown fonder for the fast, fluid gameplay for the semi familiar system and the gimmicks that come with each setting already in the game. One of my faves is the gambler being able to use a deck of poker cards in place of dice.

Other games

My personal reccomendations are as follows but in no particular order...

  • Palladium Books RIFTS. An extra crunchy multi-setting rpg with a MEGA DAMAGE addition. 100 hp = 1 MD
  • Mörk Borg. A dark fantasy where the world is about to end. The whole book screams of Swedish death metal album. There's been an amazing book with spinoff settings like Pirate Borg and Cy-Borg.
  • WestEnd Ghostbusters Rpg. The posterboy for the KISS rule. All your character info fits onto a drivers license. 4 base stats and brownie points that act as your HP, MP, and Experience.

Unventured Lands...

There's still more games that I personally would like to play, maybe someday, but for now I'm cherrypicking games and mechanics to work on my own. Almost all of the art you see in my gallery are for my own game "Drakaina". Please feel free if you want to see some of the fully finished assets, I have them free to view on my SubscribeStar link in my profile/bio.
